This collection contains photostats of 9 letters, 1843-1845[?], exchanged between George Throop and his family. It also contains copies of some of these letters and others as printed in Olive Cole Smith, comp., Ancestral Charts of George Addison Throop... (1934). The letters discuss communitarian topics, including Fourierism, plans for a community in the vicinity of Hamilton, N.Y., and philosophical questions.
