Description: Chicago teachers' petition to the Trustees and President of the University, requesting that an academic branch of the University be established in Chicago.Â The date of the petition, ca. 1917-1918, was determined by lists of teachers in the Chicago Board of Education Directory for that year.Â No record of the petition has been found in the reports of the Board of Trustees for the years 1914-1930.
