Caption on back reads: "The boarding club has been a part of student life almost from the beginning, though as a social center it is not as important as it was fifty or fifty-five years ago, when restaurants or indeed any kind of stores were almost unknown around the campus. The Chase Club, pictured here, was typical of such organizations in the early [18]90s."
