"Models of Illinois highway 460 bridge over Wabash River flood plain to New Harmony, Indiana built by University of Illinois engineers who found way to tame eddy which threatened to drop bridge into 40-foot deep hole. Solution is 100-foot upstream dikes directing water under bridge and cutting away end of timbered island. Zigzag wire in model represents underbrush.
