Papers of Felix T. Adler (1911-79), professor of physics and nuclear engineering (1958-79) and of Donatella Baroncini Adler (1921-86), professor of physics (1960-86). Includes correspondence, publications, reports, reprints, manuscripts course materials, research notes, student theses, and computer INT-outs. Felix Adler's research included neutron physics, reactor physics, reactor safety, and stability of plasmas under intense electromagnetic radiation, Donatella Adler's research interests included pion-proton scattering, neutron transport theory, and reactor physics. Felix Adler was a staff member at General Atomic, Division of General Dynamics (1956-58), a consultant at Los Alamos National Laboratory (1961-78) and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (1966-68), a member and chairman of advisory committees to Argonne National laboratory (1960-68), and a member of the American Nuclear Society Program Committee (1968-74). Donatella Adler was a staff member of the American Nuclear Society Program Committee (1968-74). Donatella Adler was a staff member at General Atomic, Division of General Dynamics (1958) and a consultant at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (1966) and Argonne National Laboratory (1968). The series includes material relating to the establishment of the nuclear engineering program at the University of Illinois at includes a cross-section sample of a fuel-moderator element from the Triga atomic reactor at the University of Illinois; scrapbooks, photographs, newsclippings and correspondence to and from Katherine Adler, Felix Adler, Victor Adler, Karl Kern, Josef Hofbauer, Hugo Preisz concerning Austrian socialism, the Spanish Civil War, Birthday Celebrations, Felix Adler, Victor Adler, Israel, and Otto Bauer.
