Image that appeared in the Champaign News-Gazette on Oct. 28, 1948 carrying the following caption: "Alexander Schulz, custodian of the University of Illinois museum of classical and oriental archaeology, puts an arm in place on the main figure in the Laocoon group, one of many plaster casts being washed and restored to original appearance. This group, the original of which has been in the Louvre in Paris, is from the School of Rhodes. This cast stood for many years at the end of the UI auditorium foyer."
