National Wheelchair Games File (1957-88) contains correspondence, forms, newspaper clippings, press releases, photographs, statistics, rosters, and programs concerning the operations of the National Wheelchair Games including participating athlete information, meal and housing arrangements, event listings and results, accounting, rosters, publicity, records, officials, volunteers, victory banquets, registration, advertising, fund raising, and rules. The majority of the materials deal with the 19th and 24th National Wheelchair Games (1975, 1980) which were held and organized in Champaign, IL. Major correspondents include Stan Labanowich, Kenneth S. Clarke, Benjamin H. Lipton, Robert J. Szyman, Timothy J. Nugent, and Phil Mirell. Two 1986 NWAA National Wheelchair Track and Field Championship Medals (#663), an Archers to Paralympics Badge (#664), and multiple patches from National Wheelchair Games and the NWBA (#665-671) are included in the Artifacts Collection.
