Krummel, Professor of Library and Information Science (first three accessions) include correspondence, syllabi and course materials, exams, comments on student work, manuscripts, papers and speeches, and audio recordings concerning GSLIS and University of Illinois campus committees such as Gutenberg Galaxy, Library Friends, and promotion and tenure; professional organizations such as the International Association of Music Libraries; publications such as the Journal of Academic Librarianship and A Librarian's Collacon; Krummel's Masters' Thesis from the University of Michigan, "An Introduction to the History of Music Libraries" (1953); cassette recordings of GSLIS courses and of twelve oral history interviews (with transcripts) conducted by Linnea Martin (1998); Robert B. Downs Publication Fund; Dean searches and evaluation; and notes and manuscripts for major unpublished projects, including a Bibliographical Conspectus of Early Music for University Microfilms (1964-1970), the Smithsonian American Music Project (1985-1989), and Printed Music, 1501-1700: A Bibliographical Conspectus (1969).
