Special Education Course Syllabi contains duplicated course descriptions and syllabi for Special Eucation courses, including "SPED 117: Exceptional Children," "SPED 308: Teaching Students with Learning and Behavior Problems in the Regular Classroom," "SPED 314: Applications in Assessment of Young Exceptional Children, " "SPED 316: The Gifted Child in School and Society," "SPED 324: Tests and Measurements in Speical Education," "SPED 335: Applied Behavior Analysis for Teachers," "SPED 365: Intervention Issues and Practices, " "SPED 421: Administration and Supervision of Speical Education," and other Speical Education courses.
Special education was informally administered in the College of Education until October 1962, when the Department of Special Education was established.1
Precise Early Education of Children with Handicaps (PEECH) Project:
The project was established in 1970 as a model program for the early education of the multiple-handicapped. It is a INT project of the Department of Special Education, Urbana Community School District 116 and the Illinois Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.2
