Description: Publications of the National Laboratory on Early Childhood Education's Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC), a clearinghouse on early childhood education research and practice, including announcements (1968-1979), "How to Use ERIC" (1968), newsletters (1967-1979, 1992-1995, 2001-2002), fellowship announcements and conference programs (1968, 1969), occasional papers (1968-1969) on research projects in early childhood education, Head Start program studies (1968-1971), and numbered publications (1969-1981) including bibliographies and research reports on bilingual education, behavioral and emotional development, learning development and learning disabilities, Piagetian Theory, nutrition, day care, and parent education.
Prior to restructuring in 2004, the ERIC network consisted of sixteen subject-specific Clearinghouses at the University of Illinois, Arizona State University, University of Chicago, Cornell University, George Peabody University, New York University, and Syracuse University. ERIC continues to exist withing the U.S. Federal Institute of Education Sciences.
