Physical Description: The six boxes include books, journals, newsprint, photographs, correspondence and records.
Scope and Contents:

Included are Peter Braunfeld's department records and publications while working for the University of Illinois Mathematics Department and his parents, Fritz and Johanna Braunfeld's, personal papers relating to their life, work and in particular as relates to flight from Austria and Holocaust rstitution issues in the decades thereafter. Johanna Braunfeld taught German and French at the University of Illnois for over two decades.Three boxes containing the family papers were returned to Professor Braunfeld in August 2015 for his personal use and he will transfer them to the UA after completing his Holocaust related presentations.

Of the original ten boxes, four of them contained family papers which were returned to Braunfeld in three larger boxes in August 2015 for his personal use. He will return those when he has completed his Holocaust related presentations.
