Historical Note: Nicholas A. Kaufmann (1942- ) joined the US Navy in 1962. He was married to Sylvia Wisneski in 1966. He received both a BS and BA in biology and physics from Long Island University in 1967. Throughout the 1970s and 80s, he served as a medical consultant and marketer in the Chicago subburbs. After retiring to Elroy, Wisconsin in 1994, he founded the Wisconsin Seasonal Residence Association.
