Historical Note:

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (OVCDEI) was officially inaugurated on July 1, 2018.1 Formerly known as the Office of Equity and Access (OEA), the OVCDEI was created as a result of a 2017 External Review Report on Diversity and Inclusion that pointed towards a need to increase diversity efforts at the University of Illinois.2
