Historical Note: The National Farm-City Council was formed in 1955 to oversee and develop educational programs for the American public about agriculture, and its significance to the urban world. In coordination with Kiwanis International, they created the National Farm-City Week to facilitate discussion and knowledge about farming between urban and rural Americans.
