Subject file of the YWCA including histories (1906-84); committee minutes and reports (1906-20; 1984); Board of Directors minutes (1907-72; 1983-92); Corporation Board minutes (1970-82); secretary's reports (1904-38); financial reports (1907-62); annual reports (1937-82, 1986-92); Board of Trustees records (1975-81); promotional brochures, lists of officers, cabinet members, and general members (1935-92); correspondence, minutes, reports, and scrapbooks (1904-57, 62-92) about programs sponsored or cosponsored by the YWCA, including Faculty (Friday) Forum (1947-83); Pal Program (1966-81); Women Against Rape (1973-79); African Seminar/Seminar on Developing Nations (1964-68); freshmen conference (1966-73); career coaching for women (1978-83), coalition for voter registration (1971-74), United Way (1978-91); Breast Cancer Awareness Project;  correspondence and brochures relating to the national YWCA and the National Student Council (1950-72).  Among topics included are Black women, foreign students, racism, religious education, mentoring, health, and the status of women.  The series also contains the records of Susan Taylor, tenured assistant professor of English as a Second Language (1964-99), in her position as YWCA Board of Trustees member.
