Double exposure, one vertical and one horizontal. The two images are of the tree tops and horizon with the top of a building visible (horizontal) and trees with a wire fence running across the scene (vertical).

Based on identified images in the materials acquired from the Natural History Museum along with this image, it is presumably dated ca. 1885 and presumably from southeastern Illinois.
