Theresa B. Miller worked as an academic adviser and lecturer in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics (2011-2016). In 2007, Miller published A History of Agricultural Economics at Illinois: Scholarship and Service, 1932-2007, in honor of the department's seventy-fifth anniversary.
Miller graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural communications in 1996 and a Master of Science degree in agricultural education in 2000. Prior to joining the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics, Miller served as the agribusiness director of WDWS Radio (1996-1998). In addition, she worked as communications manager for the Illinois Soybean Association (1998-2004) and the Office of International Programs in the Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois (2004-2011).
In 2006, Miller received funding from Bill Condon, an alumnus of Agricultural Economics Department, to publish a history of agricultural economics at the University of Illinois.
