Name: Wall, Edmund A. (ca. 1860-1916)
Historical Note: Edmund Alfred Wall (ca. 1860-1916) was born in Morley, England and moved to Cambridge, Massachussetts when he was a child. Wall enlisted in the US Navy in 1878. He served as a clarinetist for the Sousa Band during the 1910-1911 world tour, at which time his residence was New York City. Wall died in Ontario, Canada in 1916. While little is known about him, both of his sons, Charles A. Wall (1899-1958) and Edmund "Eddie" Charles Wall (1895-1985), also played as clarinetists for the Sousa Band between 1925 and 1931.
