Approximately one-fourth of these records relate to Reno in his several offices in ATO (Palm editor, 1905-18; Scribe, 1911-20; acting Worth Grand Keeper of Exchequer, 1916-17; Worthy Grand Chief, 1931-33), as well as his office of Historian. The remainder consists of Reno's research materials and notes, including official ATO documents regarding its founding, expansion, and laws; roster and correspondence relating to Worthy Grand Keeper of Annals Wm. C. Smiley's (1912-22) reconciliation of membership records; ATO publications relating to its rules and ritual; and publications ca. 1927 of colleges and universities attended by early members of ATO. For Reno's notes and correspondence regarding ATO Founders Otis A. Glazebrook, Alfred Marshall, and Erskine Ross, see Founders Subject File, record series 41/93/1.
