Featured are marchers in the annual Hobo Parade in downtown Champaign. The Hobo Parade was an annual event where people dressed up on costumes and attire resembling that of hobos. However, on campus, this expanded to different outfits and disguises meant to satirize elements of the Champaign Urbana community.

Featured are students walking ahead of a faux president's car with a white man in black face driving a student pretending to be University President, Harry Chase. Other students appear to be carrying hunting rifles or riding on small penny farthing bicycles. Due to the nature of black and white film, black and red paint appear similarly gray in the captured image. This image is a shot from the Bernard Strauch collection of Hobo Parade Imagery.
