Featured are marchers in the annual Hobo Parade in downtown Champaign. The Hobo Parade was an annual event where people dressed up on costumes and attire resembling that of hobos. However, on campus, this expanded to different outfits and disguises meant to satirize elements of the Champaign Urbana community.

Some costumes featured are men dressed as women under an umbrella, or two men in nightclothes and candlesticks. A clown is featured, 2nd from left. As well, a man in red face, 3rd from right, labeled the "The Sear". Due to the nature of black and white film, black and red paint appear similarly gray in the captured image. This image is a shot from the Bernard Strauch collection of Hobo Parade Imagery.
