Krueger (1936-86), professor of history (1966-86), including personal information folders and vitae (1961-86); manuscripts of undergraduate essays and tests at Antioch College (1957-59) and graduate training at Universities of Wyoming (1959-60) and Minnesota (1960-65); correspondence regarding his doctoral thesis on the "Southern Conference for Human Welfare" (1963-66); files on the AAUP and activities as a member of the American Historical Association Membership Committee, student recommendations; book reviews; and research material on the New Deal and recent U.S. History (1969-82). The papers include history department communications on procedures, budgets and undergraduate and graduate programming, faculty recruitment and newsletter, Executive Committee minutes, announcements regarding graduate students and faculty, by-laws, procedures and department business (1968-86); papers read at public and professional meetings; copies of student these and dissertations (1969-76); teaching assistant evaluations; lecture noes, syllabi, bibliographies, assignments, and exams given at Wyoming, Minnesota, and Illinois for history courses (1964-84); a subject file including personal and scholarly interests, especially the Vietnam War (1965-68); and manuscripts of two unpublished novels, short stories and poetry and a personal journal (1962-85). Correspondents included C. Vann Woodward, George B. Tindall, August Meier, Herbert Aptheker, William A. Williams, Gabriel Kolko, Harold Hyman, Dewey Grantham and Robert Fogel.
