Military Review Day Brigade (1) | University of Illinois Archives
Featured is the Military Day review field. The field, currently where Huff Hall and the Business Instructional Facility are located, was used for the display of the reserve officer training corps (ROTC) program. Military Day was treated as a university holiday where all (then) branches of service march and display their training. The reinforced brigade was comprised of Infantry, Cavalry, Field Artillery, Coast Artillery, Engineers, and the Signal Corps.
This image was misidentified as part of the 1925 brigade. The placement of the carts, and foliage on the trees actually places this with the 1929 Military Day collection.
