University High (2) | University of Illinois Archives
The west face of the University High School. Uni High, as it is colloquially called, is a collegiate gothic style building approved in 1918 for a price of $143,000. What was originally an extension of a pre-college preparatory school became a university sponsored laboratory institution in 1921. It still operates as a high school to this day. Image is taken from the North Matthews Avenue side of the building.
The building is located at 1212 W Springfield Ave, Urbana, IL 61801
