Consists of personal papers including student papers; original research conducted for degrees at the Yale Divinity School, masters degree at UIUC, and PhD research at UIUC; folk music masterials collected as a graduate student; degrees; and a recording of a senior organ recital. Also consists of WILL Radio Administrative records including correspondence, radio show scripts written by Stagg, original interviews conducted by Stagg, WILL concert posters collected by Stagg, artist and subject files compiled by Stagg, and record card catalog with research notes by Stagg.
Nancy Sue Stagg (1937- ) was born in Oklahoma. She studied organ performance at the University of Oklahoma and earned a bachelors degree from the Yale Divinity School in 1962. She earned a masters degree in musicology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She finished coursework for a PhD in musicology, but did not graduate. Stagg was a longtime organist at McKinley Presbyterian Church. She also served as the music director of WILL from the early 1970s to 2000.
