Marie Johnson joined Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority inc. at University of Illinois Chicago, and transferred to the Champaign-Urbana campus in 1953. The series includes photos of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
