Series 1: Bernice Ackerman, 1955-1988

This series includes the papers of Bernice Ackerman. Ackerman was a meteorologist who worked for the Illinois State Water Survey. This includes research papers, data, publications, Ph.D. papers, correspondence, drafts, and Metromex report logs. Other papers of Bernice Ackerman are sprinkled throughout the collection, as Westcott's original arrangement was maintained. This series is arranged by Westcott's original arrangement.

Series 2: Projects, 1948-2006

The series includes projects worked on by Westcott and is arranged into subseries alphabetically: CHAP, CHILL, Fog Study, Metromex, PACE, radar research, Urban Boundary Layer, Urban Heat Island Project 1975 (St. Louis), VIN, and Willard Airport Weather Radar 1950s. These include data, graphs and charts, radar logs, notes, correspondence, maps, publications, satellite photos, Westcott's Ph.D. proposal and defense, drafts, meeting notes, grant applications and progress reports, some conferences, and VHS's, cassettes, and tapes. The subseries are arranged by Westcott's original arrangement. As the projects are subseries and arranged within by Westcott's original arrangement, some folders labelled as being from one project are in a different project's subseries.
