Description: Records of the University of Illinois Chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, containing chapter house plans (1964), newspaper clippings (some of which relate to Irna Phillips, 1923 alumna and soap opera pioneer), photographs, Theta Chapter history (1992), and centennial celebration materials (2023). This series also includes the papers of Myrtle Dickerson Goldsmith, housemother from 1937-1950, including addresses, essays, correspondence, obituary, and photograph relating to Dad's Day, Mother's Day, Phi Sigma Sigma sisters, her political activities, and Senior Breakfast. Of particular note is a letter from Eleanor Roosevelt.
