The series includes unpublished " Memoirs and Reminiscences" (1988); materials on Skornia's role in setting up the West German broadcasting system (1948-49), operating the U.S. controlled Austrian Red-White-Red radio network (1951-53), and his service as Radio Director at Indiana University (1942-51); Executive Director/President of the National Association of Education Broadcasters (1953-60) and Vice President of the National Association for Better Broadcasting (1968-91). Subjects covered include public broadcasting, educational television, advertising, news reporting, television and violence, media responsibilities, foreign broadcasting systems, U.S. foreign policy, the United Nations and the publication and marketing of his book Television and Society.
