Scope and Contents of the Materials
Consists of concert posters, primarily for their annual "Dad's Day" concerts, documenting the concerts of the University of Illinois' Varsity Men's Glee Club from 1969-1991.
Biographical Note
The University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign Varsity Men's Glee Club is an ensemble in the School of Music's choral division, and was founded in 1896. The oldest recognized student organization on campus, it was first established as the Apollo Club, and later became known as the Varsity Men's Glee Club in the 1930s. The Glee Club has toured all over the world and across the U.S., as well as their usual twice-annual concerts on campus.
