Scope and Contents of the Materials

The collection consists of two CDs containing photographs of the local rock group, Bossa Nuevo, documenting their recording sessions at Champaign, Illinois' Pogo Studios between 2010 and 2011. The photographs include photos of Yarim Yengsep, Holly Holmes, Lara Driscoll, Mikael Templeton, George Turner, Cody Jensen, Matt Plaskota, Rick Deja, Any Burth, Andy Miller and David Cubberly.

Biographical Note

David Cubberly (1980- ) is a photographer and composer based in Urbana, Illinois. He completed his master's degree in music composition at the University of Illinois in 2006. Cubberly was a Senior Assoicate Producer at Volition, a video game studio that was based in Champaign, until it closed in 2023. He has played with local groups in the Champaign-Urbana area including Desafinado and the 5 Penny Theatre.
