Series 1: Project Files: contains Dr. Whiteside's personal materials (honors and awards) as well as research and crop related files. Research and crop files include secondary literature and his notes about various pesticides, herbicides, and crops for Extension experiments and projects such as the pumpkin disease study, Babadoost, the herbicides-residues experiments, or the Cucurbit herbicide study. The series is arranged into three sections: first, personal materials; second, research topics arranged alphabetically; and third, crops arranged alphabetically.

Series 2: Slides and Slide Notes: includes Dr. Whiteside's slides of research projects, experiments, and public presentations by the Extension Service pertaining to horticultural crop farming. Slide topics cover e.g. farming equipment, weed control and pesticide management for crops such as pumpkins, sweet corn, and onions. This series is arranged alphabetically. The original order of slides in Whiteside's slide boxes, binders and carousels was unfortunately not preserved during rehousing.
