Description: Gary Bruce Kesler (1954- ), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Associate Professor, Associate Head, and Interim Department Head of the Department of Landscape Architecture (1980-2008), is an early pioneer of integrating computers into the Landscape Architecture curriculum at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), the study of micro-computer integration, and the history of the UIUC Department of Landscape Architecture.
Papers include Gary Kesler's professional correspondence; publications; lecture series and proposals; course materials; Department of Urban Planning administrative information; and materials on the Temple Buell Hall building program. Also included are East St. Louis Action Research Project (ESLARP) reports, budgets, meeting minutes, proposals, and surveys. Papers also contain materials related to the history of the UIUC Department of Landscape Architecture including photographs, alumni files, Foundation for Architecture and Landscape meeting minutes, and faculty profiles on Stanley E. White, Phelps Wyman, and Florence Bell Robinson.
