David Dodd Henry Lecture Files relating to the 4th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th lectures including brochures, agreements, notes, correspondence, lists, forms, policies, audio cassette tapes (7th & 9th lectures), invitations, vouchers, tax forms, manuscript revisions, revised galley proofs and published lectures. Files are most complete for the 7th and 9th lectures. Principal correspondents include Ernest F. Anderson (chair, David D. Henry Lecture Committee), John E. Cribbett, Paul S. Riegel, Tom Sergiovanni, Joe R. Burnett, James G. Marsh, Louis R. Pondy and Martin Trow.

The Department of Administration and Supervision was created in 1962 in a reorganization plan in the College of Education.¹ In 1973 the name was changed when the Department merged with former programs in Higher Education and Continuing Education. The Department now consists of three Divisions: the Division of Educational Administration and Supervision, the Division of Higher Education and the Division of Continuing Education of Adults.² The Department prepares students for professional positions in educational organizations, and conducts national and regional research programs.³

The Office for the Study of Continuing Professional Education was established in 1973,⁴ and serves as a center for the study of issues in continuing professional education in diverse career fields.⁵
