Papers of Thomas Clark Shedd (1890-1959), Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois (1925-1958), concerning his career as a faculty member and his research on hydraulics and bridge and railway design, contain correspondence with colleagues, especially Hardy Cross, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Yale University at the time; a field notebook (1928-1930); oral history interviews with T. C. Shedd and Milton C.
