Pillsbury (1838-24), registrar (1893-1910) and secretary of the Board of Trustees (1888-1910) and Agricultural Experiment Station (1888-97), including a journal kept as a student at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts (Jan. 1 - Oct. 10, 1857, Aug.31 - Sept.21, 1858) and Harvard College (Sept.21 - Oct. 18, 1859) with entries about academic work, religious meetings, weather, lectures debates, social activities, relatives, classmates, politics, sports, farm work in Derry, N. H. and friends.  This series also includes a few pieces of correspondence received and sent in his offical capacity as University Registrar in 1907.
