Three field notebooks of Harlow B. Mills, former director of the Illinois Natural History Survey. These notebooks document collecting trips made to Cuba, Haiti, and Jamaica from May 6th — June 6, 1950. Each collecting event has an associated number that is on labels of specimens in the INHS Insect Collection. Most of the events are of Berlese funnel extractions done by H.B. <span data-markjs="true">MIlls</span>. All specimens collected were collected by <span data-markjs="true">Mills</span> as well. Each collecting event documents the location, date, and other biological information of each sampling event. The collecting event numbers of each book are as follows:

Cuba: C-1 — C-12 (INHS Accession Numbers 49672–49683) (June 1 — June 6, 1950), ii + 96 pp.

Haiti: H-1 — H-19 (INHS Accession Numbers 49684, 49649–49666) (May 21 — May 28th, 1950), vii + 98 pp.

Jamaica: J-1 — J-36 (INHS Accession Numbers 49610, 49649–49645) (May 6th — May 16, 1950), v + 100 pp.
