Group photo of the first class of library students at the Armour Institute in Chicago. The Library School at the Armour Institute was transferred to the University in 1897 and Armour Institute later became Illinois Institute of Technology.

In the back row, from left to right are K.L. Sharp, L.P. Swan, M.A. Hardinge, M.L Bennett, E.F. Simpson, J.S. Van Vliet, J. Bevridge, H.E. Cory, Dr. F.W. Gunsaulus. In the front row from left to right are E. Wales (standing), E.L Moore, E. Davidson, M. Mann, I. Warren and I.B. Almy.
