Students lie on metal gurneys to donate blood, attended by nurses. Caption from the 12/65 Illinois Alumni News reads: "The large new Illini Room area in the Illini Union, accustomed to dinners, dancing and meetings, took on the appearance of a field hospital during the November 'blood crusade.'"
