Series 3: Sound and Audiovisual Recordings

Consists of CDs, tape cassettes, vhs tapes, dvds, DAT's, and reel-to-reel tapes documenting performances that feature Paynter (including Ear Doctor and Desafinado), ensembles directed by Paynter, and recordings of Paynter's compositions. In addition, several recordings contain electronically produced sound samples and musique concrete Paynter recorded and manipulated for his compositions. There was no original arrangment so materials were arranged by format of recording and assigned a sequential number.
