Description: Papers of Gail Robert Yohe (1904-1979), M.S. (1927) and Ph. D (1929) in Organic Chemistry, coal research chemist (1937-72), head of Coal Chemistry Section (1945-70), and Senior Chemist (1970-72) of Illinois State Geological Survey, Secretary (1959-62) and President (1965-66) of Illinois State Academy of Science, include correspondence, publications, drafts and manuscripts, newsclippings, photographs, films, DVDs, diplomas and certificates, concerning coal science, chemistry, genealogy, poetry, limericks and creative writing, related to nature, religion, traveling by motorcycle, Boy Scouts of America, and life in the Midwest. This series contains genealogical and biographical material of the Yohe and Blodgett families, and of G. R. Yohe's wife, Martha Louise Tryon, and her relatives, including the Bolin, Dunlap, Khachaturian, McGrew, and Roby families.
