Finance Department Chronological (Reading) File includes incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, and departmental executive committee minutes concerning teaching, research and service activities sponsored by the department and faculty, including curriculum, courses, lectures, editorial work for the Journal of Risk and Insurance and other journals, public programs, and other departmental activities.
In 1957, the Board of Trustees approved the recommendation of the Dean of the College of Commerce and Business Administration that a Department of Finance be established by the transfer of faculty and courses from the Department of Economics.1 The department as the Bailey Chair of Banking and Finance.2 In addition to a B.S. in Finance, graduate degrees are offered.3 The selection of courses includes business and finance, investments, money, banking, insurance, urban land economics and real estate.4
