Description:

Digital Surrogates from the Non-Ad Council Materials Records includes a digitized booklet concerning Ad Council forest fire prevention campaigns posters from 1939 to 1944. The booklet is entitled "Remember, Only You....: 1944 to 1984, Forty Years of Preventing Forest Fires, Smokey's 40th Birthday"; was produced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, in August 1984. Also included is a report about what challenges new president, Peggy Conlon, will face in directing the Ad Council from 1999.
