Photograph of a sketch of a relief intended for the Boulder Dam (now known as the Hoover Dam).  The design incorporates the seals of the United States and the states of Wyoming and Colorado.  Relief by sculptor Lorado Taft.

Handwritten on verso:

"Mr. Ickes gave this order for Boulder Dam to Mr. Taft.

Afterwards it was decided to have a competition."
