The papers of Leslie E. Card (1893-1896), professor of poultry husbandry (1922-60) and chair of department of Animal Sciences (1947-60) and Eva G. Card include biographical information/sketches, wills, legal agreements, reports, correspondence and publications. The papers document Dr. Card's career at Cornell University and University of Illinois, particularly his service in Lucknow India to assist colleges of agriculture and veterinary science in the Indian states Adra Pradesh and Madya Pradesh. This service was undertaken as part of the USAID program. The series is largely composed of personal correspondence, travel brochures, and reports from Leslie and Eva Card reflecting on Indian life, customs and agricultrual development from their 1957-59 and 1962 trips to India.
