The Jantzen family papers include the papers of Louis Jantzen (1921-2003), former UI Engineering student (ca. 1941-1943) who was drafted into military service during WWII (1943-1946), which include letters between Louis and his parents (1943-1946), his sister, Blanche (1943-1945), his brother Severin (1943), his brother, Dennis (1943, 1945), and his sister, Rosemary (1944), and Marie Fisk (1945), whom he married in 1947. His papers also include a photograph file, containing photos of Louis, his Army friends, and his parents (1943-1946). The Jantzen family papers also include the papers of Severin "Gene" Jantzen, older brother of Louis who trained soldiers at a military base near Tucson, AZ, during WWII, which include letters from Severin to his parents (1944-1945), to his brother Dennis (1945), from his wife Patricia King to his parents (1945), and from both Severin and Patricia to the Jantzen parents (1945).
