The Papers of Stuart Umpleby, graduate research assistant in the Computer-based Education Research Laboratory, include PLATO-produced transcripts of electronic discussions concerning the impeachment of Richard Nixon, other local and national events, and the use of PLATO to discuss political issues; correspondence with Eleanor Blum; and photocopied articles (mainly from the journal Computers and Automation) concerning the use of computer networks to discuss political and social affairs, and media coverage of government-issued information, including the report of the Warren Commission.
