Scope and Contents of the Materials

Papers of Dix Harper, president of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters (1988), including correspondence, minutes, publications, expense reports, sound recordings and films concerning NAFB exhibits, the "Gypsies" (a musical groups consisting of NAFB members), Sales/Marketing Board, committees, reorganization, conventions, membership disputes, and an effort to have Congress declare a National Farm Broadcasters Week (1988). This series includes commercials and promotional materials written and produced by Harper for marketing International Harvester tractors and cotton pickers, Monsanto Agricultural Division, De Kalb Agricultural Research, Elanco and Pfister.
