Description: Reports of binding, catalog, gifts and exchange, loan, order, periodical and reference departments concerning the acquisitions, processing, maintenance and servicing of library materials; regulations and procedures for departmental functions; staff records and activities; inventories of supplies and equipment and allotment and expenditure of library funds. The series includes correspondence from head librarians, custodians, law library, library committee, seminar libraries and staff meetings. Records include annual reports for most departments, monthly reports for catalog and order departments, supplementary commentary and progress reports, statistics, occasional and departmental correspondence. Many records are scattered or incomplete. Complete runs include financial statements of library additions (1912-41), catalog reports (1915-41), reference reports (1916-1970) and order reports (1901-14, 1927-41). The series includes Ohio Library Association standardization questionnaires and replies (1916) and correspondence with prospective library school instructors (1929-32). This series also includes official reports of the Collection Analysis Project Study Team (1970-1981), fund managers' requests for increased funding reports (1987-1995), University Library Staffing Study report (1999), University Library Space Needs Study (1995) and a Reconnaissance Preservation Assessment by the Chicora Foundation (2001).
