Papers of Kenneth A. Hinton who attended the University of Illinois 1922-25 as a student in the department of Civil Engineering and a member of the local fraternity Anubis. Included are lecture notes, problems, exams, and a two volume TEXT book for business writing from his courses in Civil Engineering, Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, General Engineering Drawing, Business Rhetoric, and Economics. Also included are notes and problems from fraternity brothers Perry N. Ferguson (Class of 1923), Junius R. Gardner (Class of 1923), Richard M. Mott (Class of 1923), Raymond C. Lipe (Class of 1925), and Herbert W. Laube (Class of 1927) who had taken the same courses in previous years. The papers also include pamphlets describing the sewage treatment plant of the Bloomington and Normal Sanitary District (1927) and the North Side sewage treatment project of the Sanitary District of Chicago (1928). Also included is the year-end edition of the "Daily Pantagraph" newspaper from Bloomington, Illinois (1929).
